"Taking Breaks while taking a break."

For my "Pilot" blog entry, I would love to start talking about my thought process as to coming up with my photo shoot ideas and how I normally come up with my personal projects.

Procrastination "is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline."

Now that we've taken care of what that really means, let's talk about how I take advantage to that such thing. It is "normally" where i draw and come up random ideas. When I take breaks and I somehow find myself taking a second-level break and that is the time I fantasize and imagining new artistic ideas for a photo shoot. I seem to be most creative at that point. That pretty much is when my brain goes from 0-60 mph in a split second and start sketching random lighting diagrams and most of the planning for my upcoming photo shoots.

I procrastinate pretty much in everything BUT I do get things DONE. I work best under pressure. I am one of those photographers that can think on their feet. I make things happen when things get too tense.

I've learned throughout the years of endless shooting and practicing and learning as much as I could about anything within the realm of photography that becoming a photographer also makes you a problem solver. I've learned to plan things and prepared myself to expect the most unexpected things that could ever happen in a photo shoot. I've mastered the art of modifying things. I've learned a lot of tricks to become as creative and resourceful as I can be. I have to say that I have had shoots where I had to use non photography materials as part of my tools to make the a certain shot happen. I've taken off my shoe laces to use it as a string to hold my flash before and all sorts of things. bottom line is, I pretty much think of back up plans from plan A - Z and at times I even throw in some bullets under every letter. - that being said, all of the planning are pretty much gathered during random times like a break within my break from working on something.
