Cabin Fever

February 22, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

For the last week Nashville has been hit with some pretty nasty weather and most of the people have been snowed in and stuck indoors.. - I am one of those people. All i had to work with is a loft space and my camera with an an army of strobes. soooooo typically I felt obligated to shoot something. So saturday came and I had all the free time.

So this was the set i came up with. There's a lot into the set than whats visible in this behind the scene picture. I did a lot of modifying as I go.

I've decided to venture into Food Photography on this lovely saturday. Got some strawberries, kiwis, and a pack of blackberries. luckily i found a pretty neat bamboo chopping board to lay all the colourful stuff on it. generally the whole thing turned out to be pretty fun.

From this set about here is the final photo I got out of it.

The photo above, I used all natural light and just used a diffuser as fill and a silver reflector. I'm pretty happy with hoe it turned out. :)

I also had a few other shots to add variety. Here's another shot using the same setup.

It was a very cloudy / rainy / dreary day so I figured I would have that super soft ambient light for very long so I had to bust out some good ole speed lights and a strobe to keep the shooting going and that made it even more interesting. I had to create a 2 light set for these bad boys.

so here is the second setup that I did.

The next set of images are all lit with either 1 light setup or both. I had to pretty much recreate a scene where it looks as natural as possible.

here are a few of what I got. The first image here below will be the closest as it can get to recreating natural light.

for this image above, I did a few retouching just the softness of the whole image and resharpened the main stars in the image.

heres a few more of the stuff I shot with the strobed setup.

Alright folks. Thats wraps up my whole set and my blog entry.  : ) Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed sharing it to you :) Till then I'm gonna get back to my adventure.

PEACE!
